In the days where synthesizers  and electronic musical instruments were regarded as highly exotic and somewhat mysterious Jesper Ranum brought attention to the potential of this technology. His two books on synthesizers and MIDI were critically acclaimed and are still today the de facto danish reference publications on the subject.
